I love words. There’s nothing quite like seeing something scribbled on paper, written just for you. I can’t help but smile as I gingerly trace my finger along the words, over and over again. Sometimes I can even hear you reading them to me, like some voiced-over narration in a movie. It doesn’t even have to be a telling declaration of love; it can simply be you saying “I love you” without actually using those three words.
There’s nothing more beautiful than your smile.
I find the greatest comfort just by having you in my arms.
You will always be mine.
God, I love that.
“If I could write, this would be the book I would write for you.” - Nicole Krauss
I’ve always dreamt of having someone fall so irrevocably in love with me, that I’d be their muse for a novel. I don’t think there’s anything more romantic than having every emotion, every thought, expressed on paper. There’s this candidness and vulnerability that I find so attractive. But if I don’t find myself in the company of a writer, I’m sure letters would be the next best alternative.
I know that some things are better left unsaid, but in this case, the more words - the better. Let me know how much I mean to you. Let me see what beautiful expressions are lingering inside you. And then put them on paper, so I can treasure them forever.
Let me be your inspiration.
