happy again :3
this weekend was a gooood weekend. one of the best i’ve had in a long while. it’s honestly so nice to get back to the core what makes you happy.
on friday, i rocked my pop culture midterm and headed back home (!) to be with my lurv. it was honestly so so nice to be back in his arms, especially since i’ve been feeling a lot more positive about the whole distance challenge. i think i’m finally getting accustomed to our situation, instead of constantly moping about it. it’s refreshing, to say the least. we snuggled lots and then betty and eric came over and we decided that we’d have couples outing night with them. we blazed and played egyptian war and made a run to panda express and then saw star wars: the phantom menace in 3d. oh my goodness that movie was long, and it felt like i was watching something i had never seen before but still knew the premise of. but it was still fun. and then nick and i went back home and were so exhausted by then (especially since we had to get up super early the next day) so we just knocked out.
saturday, woke up late (shocking, i know). we were supposed to meet up with his friend alex, and his girlfriend danielle at 8 but we got up at 8 and just turtled. nick made me do all the domestic duties i.e. make the sandwiches, ready the bags, check our stuff…which not gonna lie i thought was cute. but anyway, we’re finally out the door at like nine to head to big bear (which is like a 2-3 hour drive away). when we get to alex and danielle’s place, they find out that their big bear lift tickets are blocked out for the weekend so we just decided to go to mountain high. of course, we take the super long way to get there and have to stop to find a ralph’s to get our lift tickets, but eventually, we get there. did i mention how freezing it was?! and nick hadn’t told me ahead of time that we were going up to the snow so all i brought were shorts and tank-tops because it was nice in san diego -_- but it was all good ‘cause danielle loaned me some pants and i wore nick’s sweatshirts and i just looked like a boy but that’s okay, i guess. we get there at like noon, and since i’m the only one that doesn’t have equipment i had to go through an entire ordeal to get it — i chose skis since i’ve snowboarded before and wanted nick to teach me. OF COURSE everyone decides to go to the top, and so when i get there i’m obviously freaking out because 1) it’s super steep and 2) i have no idea how to ski and 3) i’m afraid of falling. so i have a bit of a panic moment and nick just kinda laughs it off but i’m legit scared so we had to get the courtesy sled to bring to the bottom of the slope -_- at this point i’m so frustrated with nick, and i’m really just not listening to him trying to teach me so we’re literally on that one run for like 2 hours just trying to get me down. i was slightly annoyed for the rest of the time and i just kind of wanted to be done but he convinced me to go over to the bunny slopes to teach me properly. and what do you know, i learned how to ski! :) i did a couple runs by myself without falling…and when i finally got the hang of it, we decided to go because danielle fell and bruised up her hips. i want to go again though! and then oh we got into a little car accident (lol) cause the ice made the roads slippery but it was all good. we got to the bottom of the mountain safely and then headed to koreatown to go and get our favorite kbbq :3 little did we know that danielle and alex were kinda picky so they freaked out about the food, but whatevz, we still love it…
sunday, woke up feeling super sore so nick and i just kind of snuggled away our morning. we decided to go get shakes at the habit cause i’ve really been into ice-cream lately and then we went into the jacuzzi. i got all dramatic over some thing we were talking about but he knows exactly what to do to make me feel better :D then we somehow lost track of time and before you know it it was like 6 and we wanted to celebrate valentine’s day early cause we wouldn’t be seeing each other on tuesday. so we went to the macaroni grill and had yummy italian food, and then bought our favorite cabernet sorbet, and then saw the vow :D which he actually thought was really good and i liked too but i was expecting a more chick-flicky type movie. and love all around. :D
i’m a happy camper.
